Leadership: Intelligent Delegation
Author: Harald Anderson
Abstract:
Delegation is essentially being able to let go; to let some of the power out of your hands and into the hands of someone else. This is a very hard thing to do for some people but it is imperative for a leader to be able to delegate. It also creates leverage over what actually gets produced.

Stop Stressing - Don\'t Look Back
Author: Larry Tobin
Abstract:
The past can be a problematic albatross to carry around. We'll forget where we left our keys 20 minutes ago, but ask us to remember an embarrassing moment from our childhood and it will come to mind like a flash. For some reason, we seem incredibly predisposed toward reminiscing over troubling events. We replay and replay them in our minds until we can't focus on anything else but feeling mortified and wondering if we made the right decision.

A few nights ago I had the opportunity to spend some time with a few of my dear storytelling colleagues, a wonderful group of inspired, talented people who share my passion to tell stories. How does the story change?

Before You Think That Next Thought!
Author: Harald Anderson
Abstract:
Researchers have discovered that the average person thinks anywhere between 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day. Since the majority of us spend anywhere from 16-18 hours awake each day, we think a thought on average about every 1.1 seconds. That's a whole lot of thinking going on. With this much thinking taking place there is nothing more important than to focus that energy on a meaningful goal that targets your objective.

People Literacy
Author: Susan Cullen
Abstract:
People literacy is knowing how to read and understand the behavioral style differences of others. That's because what we think would be motivating isn't always motivating to someone else.
Leadership at the Top
Author: Gary B. Cohen
Abstract:
As a true leader, Mike ensured understanding. He had a clear message and a clear focus. Printed on company shirts, hats, and posters, E3 became the symbol for driving the corporation forward. When an employee's comments were not aligned with E3, Mike set the employee back on course and made it clear to others that this was not acceptable.
Expect With Confidence
Author: Kurt Mortensen
Abstract:
Expectation is literally a self-fulfilling prophecy. We do this consciously and subconsciously. Remember the kid in grade school who was always really rowdy and disruptive? Sometimes if people already assume they are perceived a certain way, then that is indeed exactly how they will act, even if they don't mean to. The rowdy kid in grade school knew everyone perceived him as disruptive and so he was. The teacher expected bad behavior and the expectations were fulfilled.

By giving their organization a string of successes they will build momentum and attitudes that will help them overcome even difficult situations in the future.
